It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Update 9/1/11
See some of you guys tomorrow and over the next few days. So its easier to find me, look for a big green screen, I'm being hosted by Nin Chau (awesome fellow) in his spot. More on that here [link]

I'll be attending DragonCon with a few things on display and maybe a few little things for sale. Look for a big photography area and the Sea Dragon Armor and I'll be roaming around from time to time. See you there!

I'll be wearing this if I can tolerate the heat.

I'll be in Atlanta before and after DCon to explore a possible career opportunity that might springboard me into the entertainment industry. Making all these wild and varying unique items for my private clients is an awesome way to earn a living for sure but I'd kill to be on the official movie scene when the Wheel of Time movies roll around, I mean, how cool would it be to costumes, props, weapons, armor, and sets for that?
