January Updates

and more to come

Hello all, its been a while since I've updated or been active much at all online in general.  There has been a lot going on since my last update, not the least of which was procuring and overhauling an incredible shop at the Texas Renaissance Festival.   And I've got many interesting projects around the corner.  I've actually got way too many half finished so at the moment I'm trying to just focus on those older projects to catch up and get them knocked out.

I'm still moving toward expanding but I'm doing it a bit backwards by starting with the largest event (TRF) and once I'm financially caught up on that I'll definitely be pushing into Dragon Con and ComicCons but I will plant the seed here that if anyone is already traveling to festivals, cons, and various shows and would like to vend my wares from Imperial Armories (more designs coming as soon as I'm caught up with commissions) (SO MUCH CATCHING UP TO DO! lol)  anyway, anyone already in the circuits be it festivals or conventions I'm looking to expand my network and work with many people.

And vice versa; I have some close artisans working with me for TRF also selling some of their works as well and that will likely carry over to additional events so just contact me to talk shop if you have some relevant crafts.  I'm looking to expand a lot over the coming years so hopefully there will be many opportunities to go around.

I'll be posting about this following topic more in depth as things become more set in stone on my end but just as an early heads up for anyone wanting to work with me long term - I'll be looking for a new hired hand (or two) to help me with the craft and general business matters.  This wont be until around April but if you're interested in discussing what this entails just toss me an email to Samuel@PrinceArmory.com

I've really got to flesh out a road map so others can see what I'm planning - so far I don't think even the people I've worked closely with really understand what I'm going for in the end.

Just as a teaser here are a few projects you'll be seeing the first half of this year:
Medieval Aquaman
Drow Armor
Female Barbarian (matched to the previous barbarian set)
WoW Dark Elf armor (Windrunner)
full Vash the Stampede leather ensemble
Conan Sword and accessories (finally)
Cthulhu Helmet and Gauntlets
Tyrial from Diablo III
Elaborate baldric and metal work
Helmet from a League of Legends character
Corset that will be part of a larger project
and many others I'll update about a bit later.

I've got a scattering of projects over the next few years with folks on longer term payment plans and I'll be working to pay off the debt for the TRF shop as well as trying to get enough funds to relocate (most likely it will be either to Houston or LA) and of course a ton of projects to finish this year so I'm going to be fairly occupied.

I am still accepting commissions but expect a good wait.   Inquire early if you have an event deadline.  I'm pulling long hours so just toss me an email at Samuel@PrinceArmory.com and I'll see if I can meet it.

More commission info can be found at the Prince Armory website [link]

There are some other cool topics but I'll cut it here and cover them in future posts as I'll try to update more frequently moving forward.

Cheers everyone,
Samuel

Sounds fantastic Sam! I am glad to hear that you are doing well. If you are ever in need of someone to take over taking photos and uploading them + journal entries, I am always willing to help! I know Mateo and Doc are wanting to get back into the circuit as well, and they started with GK (har har har...) waaay back before you did :) And other smiths and sword crafters. I fear it may be a few years before we can move permanently east, but it is possible.

Keep in touch if you can! Miss chatting with you <3

ah well you'd have to be here to take the pics lol that'd be difficult I suspect. If you want to keep in touch just shoot me an email, that's always the best way : )

Well, not uber difficult if I was hired. Then I'd have to move for work, and I am pretty sure we all don't mind moving towards Texas, being as Mateo's family is all there XD

And yes, I could shoot you an e-mail, but everyone else does that too :P Text me, much easier XD

lol I hate texting, it won't happen. And I will be hiring soon but I'd have a lot more to be done than just photographing and uploading haha
