Work In Comfort by Azmal Work In Comfort by Azmal
I've finally got my new place, or at least my bedroom/work area the way I want it, more or less. The next room over has lots of work bench space and peg boards for all my hardware and various tools, dye and airbrush areas, etc. (its a mess still) but I prefer to do non messy jobs such as tooling leather and assembly tasks in my room. I built the black table and it's the main work surface but I work at the corner desk too in front of the computer for some projects.

My setup isn't for everybody but I like having everything centralized. At my last place I had a fair sized shop outside that I did everything in but eventually I migrated for various reasons, heat being one. I also like to multitask, or almost have to really. So with my computer nearby I can put on some audio books, video stuffs or whatever, I normally like to soak up as much educational material as I can. My comp hooks up to my TV too so that's also handy. I also use the TV and monitor to display reference material if I'm doing a project that requires it, such as the currently active Zelda project.

It's more efficient and works out for me. And yeah, I dig posters and such but I don't put them up because of that, mainly I put them up because I HATE white bare wall space. It's so mundane and boring so I put up coverings of all sorts to cover it.

Having your own little space is so important. I just moved and my office doesn't even have drywall. Just metal studs and insulation but you know what? I just don't care. Got my comfy couch, big desk chair and my massive monitor.

Anyways congrats on having you space all figured out.

Looks like a great place to work! :D I have to multi-task as well.. my mind seems to work on different levels, and to keep my attention on what I'm working on, I need something else working with the rest of my mind, even though I'm not consciously paying attention to the background stuff, lol :XD: (That could be confusing as hell to understand, lol)

yeah, its pretty big. The room I used at my last place was the converted 2 car garage, and it was decent but this bigger. The black table is probably the half way point.

Oh I dunno, I try to keep it clean when I have time, which isn't always the case but I do tend to clean after I finish any big projects.

Wow. love to see where you create your stuff man! It looks so clean! How you arrange your space is crucial to producing top quality stuff.
I'm looking to expand into a smaller apartment studio just for making stuff then I don't live with my chemicals and dust anymore! KUdos!
