Tooled Dragon Rin Belt by Azmal Tooled Dragon Rin Belt by Azmal
2" wide Tooled Leather Dragon Ring Belt.
Each dragon hand carved, no embossing wheel die for this so it was quite a bit of tooling.

Looks Great! Bet it took awhile. Did you use any other tools besides the swivel knife and beveler?

I'm impressed that you hand tooled all these dragons individually and yet they all look exactly the same. Great job and a lovely piece. The gold stands out really well against the blue of the belt.
Out of curiosity, what type of leather do you use for your pieces?

That is positively amazing. I love your dragon-themed stuff so much anyway, but the amount of work is astounding.

Now I'm just going to hope that someone orders something horse-themed from you, because I can only imagine how awesome that would be.

Just with horses on it (instead of dragons) or a set of horse-shaped armor... or really anything horse-y. :D I know the Pazyryk tribe of way-back-when (paleolithic? I forget...) in Eastern Europe had a very horse-centric culture. Check out this bridle. They actually used alot of rams, deer and elk in their artwork, but horses were their status symbols.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! I'm sure that took a LONG time to do! Do you use acrylics for the gold or is that wax-based gold leaf?

That is... a lot of tooling! Very nordic, in my opinion - just reminds me of ancient Viking wood-carvings. Love it, as always, Sam :)
