You do gorgeous work! I'm just getting into leather crafting myself and, naturally, have picked an overly ambitious armor project for myself. I'm learning a lot just reviewing the WIP pictures you've been kind enough to share and am surprised at how many of your tooling stamps/tools I think I can identify. This gives me hope that my brain is on the right path and that perhaps, with time, I will be able to achieve something beautiful.
Incidentally, would you be willing to share what you use for the contoured/curved grooves (e.g., the center portion framing just outside of the scaled area)? I'm guessing you're free-handing those, but thought I'd check to see if there is some technique or craft aid out there that is helping accomplish those clean lines--probably just seriously mad skills, but it never hurts to ask.
