Luke Vader by Azmal Luke Vader by Azmal
Luke Vader concept (Ralph McQuarrie concept of Luke Skywalker)
Apparently an alternate Star Wars universe of sorts.
I just finished the the pants, mask, and harness and the client is adding some other pieces and props to complete the set himself. Hopefully he'll send some pics when it's all done.

Omigosh. I might need to come to you for my Starkiller Hero (aka the even earlier version of this, when Luke Starkiller was still a girl). This is just spectacular. <3

Always liked those McQuarrie pre-production pieces, ever since I saw'em in STARLOG back in '76.

That old huh? Interesting. Wasn't too familiar with this particular concept.

Oh, yeah. They were pre-production concept pieces, made during the early development phases of the film. STARLOG printed some of them in their blurb talking about this new SF movie coming out next year by the guy who did American Graffiti.

After that little film CHANGED EVERYTHING FOREVER, Ballantine/Del Rey printed a big portfolio of McQuarrie's preproduction art. I think I still have it in storage somewhere.
