The red strap is buffalo and the black parts are tooled leather. Figured it was about time I made a guitar strap. Not as elaborate as I'd like but it was a good quick project and I may add some tooled panels on the strip later. Its a bit different from most guitar straps in that I used a buckle for adjustment.
For those of you unfamiliar with buffalo, it is arguably the most awesome leather in existence. At least among the soft and supple leathers anyway. It's incredibly strong and durable and oh-so-soft and simply feels great. I think I'd like a pair of underwear made from it...
I'll be making a wide array of custom guitar straps for sale/commission and custom guitar cases too and some other unique things I have in mind.

And buffalo is softer than lamb/deerskin? I haven't ever really heard much of buffalo leather, I generally try and go for lambs since it's soooo soft.
