Black and Silver Armor- Helmet by Azmal Black and Silver Armor- Helmet by Azmal
Here's the helmet for the black and silver armor. Completely an unconventional design but I think it fits the rest of the suit pretty well.

All leather construction. Face plate is detachable as shown.

I love how the design preserves the peripheral vision of the wearer.

It may be unconventional, but more importantly, it's effective. Protects the face while not obstructing peripheral vision.

That helm is EPIC! I have been looking into making one, but I never seem to have the time to do it....I am currently in Afghanistan... What oz. leather did you use? Nice job on the silver detail as well!

This one has to be my favorite in your gallary. It looks alot more simpler than the others (I have no idea if was actually simpler to make or not) but I cant help but fall in love with it.

I guess the question isn't related directly to this piece, but in general, what thickness of leather do you use in your armor construction?

Generally 10oz unless requested otherwise.

Looks nifty, especially that the face plate can be removed.
There is one thing bothering me though. There are large holes near the temples of the wearer. I know it would help provide peripheral vision, but I can't imagine an opposing archer letting that hole go unplugged.

Thank you : ) I like it a lot myself actually. It probably has the best 'overall' design in my opinion, dragon armor might be better but it just doesn't look worth a flip on that mannequin.

I think I've got it! Wings! I can picture wings on the side of the helmet. Granted, this wouldn't allow the helmet to fit well with the rest of the armor, though. :P
